When I was 14 I unsuccessfully tried to steal my dad’s brand new Harley Davidson motorcycle for a ride around the neighborhood. I ended up with a pretty sizeable second degree burn on my leg and, having seen an entire season of Grey’s Anatomy, I thought that I could treat the injury myself. My parents ultimately caught me applying Neosporin to the burn and took me to the hospital. The scar has since faded, but my dad likes to tell this story to keep me humble (and keep me away from his motorcycles).
