Aspen US (5400 & 5450) Ebilled $7k – Quarterly billing (no invoice under 500 unless final) – Legal-X
- Staffing by more than one attorney, requires prior approval from the claim handler assigned to the case.
- Multiple attendance requires prior approval (calls, depositions, trials, etc.)
- Duplicate Billing - Aspen will not pay for significant reworking/revising of another timekeeper's work that suggests a less than adequate work product prepared by the initial drafter. Aspen will only pay for reworking/revising as long as the document involved is not a status report and is substantive in nature, it is a senior timekeeper doing the reworking/revising and the time spent is reasonable.
- Legal research exceeding three (3) hours requires client authorization - copy of the research work product and analysis should be forwarded to the claim handler.
- Travel time must include (billed 50% time)
- Aspen will not pay for partners performing associate-level work, attorneys performing paralegal-level work, or for any timekeeper performing clerical/overhead work
- Timekeeper limited to (10) hrs per day (absent trial, long distance travel, mediation or arbitration)
