- Staffed with no more than two individuals: one senior level attorney (partner or senior associate) and one associate level attorney; additional attorneys must receive prior approval before working on file
- Attorney must receive prior approval from client before issuing, initiating, or defending any motion or interlocutory process that is not mandatory
- Document review exceeding five (5) hours requires prior approval
- Legal research exceeding two (2) hours requires prior approval
- Research must be conducted by Senior Associates, Associates, or Paralegals; partners may not bill for conducting research unless prior approval is obtained
- No more than ten (10) hours per day may be billed on a single matter without prior approval, unless for days at trial or during a mediation
- One way travel more than one hour requires prior approval
- Travel rate – 50% of the approved billing rate, unless the attorney is working on the specific case while traveling
- Tickets for air fare should be purchased no less than 14 days in advance
- Short-haul travel (less than eight hours of flight time one way) book via non-refundable, coach or economy class
- Long-haul travel (more than eight hours of flight time one-way), business class is acceptable
- Meals reimbursed up to $75/person for overnight or extended stay
- Invoices including reimbursement of any travel more than 50 miles, must be accompanied by Google Maps or similar printout showing the start and end points of the trip to display the traveled distance and travel time
- Rental cars are allowable for midsize or similar categories of vehicle
- Hotels will be reimbursed up to $400/night in Toronto, NY, LA, Dallas, Honolulu, Boston, Miami, San Francisco, New Orleans, Chicago and Washington D.C. and $300/night outside of these locations
