AWAC (4000, 4300) Ebilled on Serengeti $2,500 threshold or quarterly (stale if submitted over 90 days)
- Research over two (2) hours requires client approval
- Staffing should be advised in advance of any significant staffing changes, and, in particular, if any significant part of the matter is turned over to another individual
- Partners should not bill for tasks that can be performed just as competently by associates, or associate tasks that can be performed by a paralegal at a lower cost
- Internal Meetings/memos not billable
- Travel time must include (billed 50% rate)
- AWAC will pay for only one law firm member’s attendance at any event (e.g., depositions, hearings, and negotiation sessions) additional attendees require client authorization
- Hotel accommodations must meet client “3 star” rating maximum
- Expenses over $1,500 must be forwarded to Allied World for direct payment
