I was an exchange student in high school in Germany, and later lived in Russia where I studied Slavic linguistics and literature. As a result, I love travel and have tried to introduce my two daughters to not just traveling – but experiences abroad that include getting to know the people in the places we have visited. I forced them on lots of trips as kids, including house exchanges with families in places like Iceland where they would otherwise probably not have gone. Now they wish we did more of those kind of vacations! My youngest is planning to study abroad in Scotland in the fall of 2022, and I’m training for the London marathon October 2022 if I get a lottery spot. I have this vision of my loving children standing at the finish line cheering me on to greatness! We’ll see if it happens (keep me honest and ask if I’m out there running and training.) I live in Southern Marin at the foot of Mt. Tam and love to run the trails and take my three dogs out hiking when I’m not lawyering. I’m also trying to live a healthier lifestyle these days which includes Monday morning 7am pilates class and a much better diet (so stop putting chocolate in the kitchen!)
