- Mail charges non-billable
- Activities/Disbursements requiring client authorization – entries should document who has authorized
- Attendance at mediations and/or arbitrations – including multiple timekeepers
- Legal research exceeding four (4) hours life of case – additional research requires client authorization
- More than one attendee at a trial, hearing, court appearance, arbitration, mediation, deposition, third-party conference call, or any similar event
- All expenses over $5,000, including experts and other vendors
- Long Distance travel time must include prior approval (billed 50% time) over 50 miles roundtrip only (local not billable)
- Activities considered clerical or overhead will not be paid
