James River Group (3896) Ebilled – Quarterly billing w/in 45 days of month end – Legal-X
- Respond within two (2) days of initial assignment, a strategy call will take place within seven (7) days
- Submit Case Evaluation Report “CER” within 45 days
- Submit budget at the onset of the case, (review when 50% of the budget has been reached)
- Staffed with no more than three individuals: the lead attorney, an associate, and a paralegal (additional timekeeper requires client approval)
- Required to reevaluate budget at 50%
- Client approval required for
- Multiple attendance calls, meetings, trials
- Use of Experts
- Updated CER related to Mediation/Trial
- Workday shall not exceed ten (10) hours per day, except during trial, due to billable travel, or with handlers prior written approval
- Legal research exceeding two (2) hours defense or five (5) coverage requires client authorization
- Coverage opinion billing over fifteen (15) hours
- Filing motions billing over ten (10) hours
- Duplication of effort must be avoided. If multiple timekeepers work on the same/similar task, each timekeeper must demonstrate a specific, substantive, and independent contribution.
- Long Distance Travel time must include (billed 50% time)
- Partners performing associate-level work, attorneys performing paralegal-level work, or for any timekeeper performing clerical/overhead work will not be paid
- Expense over $2,500 must be forwarded directly to JRG handler for payment (include W9)
