- PDF copy of any document where total hours billed exceeds 15 hours
- Prior authorization required for more than one attendee at a conference, trial, arbitrations, mediations, court appearances, meetings, depositions, witness interviews, inspections, and other functions. Please provide name of case handler in line item description.
- Consult with and obtain written approval from case handler for legal research project requiring more than three hours.
- Travel time should be billed at ½ the timekeeper’s hourly rate and should not include “wait” time.
- Ground travel over 1 hour, round-trip, will be compensated at ½ timekeeper’s hourly rate for the full travel time.
- Personal vehicle mileage over 50 miles round-trip is billable at the current IRS reimbursement rate and should be documented (e.g. if an attorney travels 65 miles r/t, the bill should show 15 miles x IRS rate).
- Magna Legal Services is provider of nationwide court reporting and related litigation support services.
- Courier charges, including in-house messenger service is considered overhead.
- Legal research resources, including Lexis and Westlaw usage, is considered overhead.
- Include all attendees on meal receipts.
