INTRODUCTION
Western Litigation, Inc. ("WLI") is a litigation management company retained by self- insured healthcare entities and insurance carriers to manage and direct their litigation (the “Client”). WLI’s objective is to promptly analyze each case and to determine whether it should be vigorously defended or settled.
The purpose of your retention is twofold: (1) to protect the interests of the Client and (2) to provide WLI with the legal analysis and skills necessary to defend non-meritorious cases and to resolve cases of probable liability. We believe these Litigation Guidelines will foster a better understanding of how WLI expects the Client’s litigation to be handled in order to achieve these objectives. While all sections of these Litigation Guidelines are to be followed unless expressly waived, these Litigation Guidelines are not intended to be exhaustive. WLI strives for a common sense approach to the handling of litigation and seeks to develop an effective working relationship with your firm.
WLI is now paperless and maintains a virtual file for each matter under its management. Therefore, all communications with WLI must be sent electronically.
